Saint-Lô, the prefecture of Manche, is located in the centre of the department, and 56 VTC (private hire vehicle) operators are registered for this territory. Cherbourg-en-Cotentin, Granville and Avranches are the main hubs, and Mont-Saint-Michel, in the bay of the same name, draws a large tourist clientele.
