VTC in Charente-Maritime (17)

La Rochelle, the prefecture of Charente-Maritime, is the centre of gravity of the department, and 94 VTC (private hire vehicle) operators have their registration there. Rochefort, Saintes and Royan account for the rest of the population, with the Île de Ré and the Île d'Oléron as seasonal destinations. La Rochelle–Île de Ré airport lies right next to the city, but the bridges to the islands add tolls and delays that vary by season.
